Arcane Is Over, But These League Champions Still Deserve A Spinoff

I’ve been playing League of Legends since I was a teenager, and I still remember the first time I watched Arcane. It was 2021, I was hyped, and by the end of Season 1 I was convinced Riot had cracked the code for video game adaptations. Now it’s 2026, Arcane has come and gone, and I’m still thinking about the champions who showed up—and the ones who didn’t. The original show focused on Vi and Jinx, but it also laid track for Warwick, Ziggs, Blitzcrank, Camille, Zac, Darius, Orianna, Twitch, and Urgot. Some of those bets paid off in Season 2. Others are still waiting for their moment. If Riot ever returns to Piltover and Zaun, here’s who I’d want to see next.

Warwick: The Vander Theory That Broke Us

Season 2 already confirmed the theory that Vander became Warwick, and wow, it hurt. In current lore, Warwick was a man transformed into a beast after horrible experiments. He now hunts criminals who terrorize Zaun, and his body is fused with machinery that pumps a more advanced form of Shimmer into his veins. The Season 1 finale showed a man strung up in Singed’s lab, and longtime fans knew exactly what that meant. In 2026, Warwick feels like the bridge between Arcane’s past and whatever comes next.

Ziggs: The Yordle Who Just Wants To Blow Stuff Up

Thanks to Arcane, the groundwork is already there for a Yordle-focused story. Heimerdinger proved that Yordles can be hugely influential, and Ziggs is the perfect chaotic follow-up. He lived in Piltover as an inventor’s assistant, but he got tired of the repetitive life. Eventually he meets Jinx, and she convinces him to move to Zaun. Ziggs loves blowing things up with his bombs, and he uses them to terrorize the chem-barons and ordinary citizens. That’s a spinoff I’d watch in a heartbeat. 💣

Blitzcrank: Zaun’s Big-Hearted Golem

Blitzcrank is a huge golem considered near-indestructible. He was built to help get rid of Zaun’s hazardous waste, but he has since evolved. Arcane showed that Hextech can bring machinery to life, and Blitzcrank would take that feat to the next level. He may be a machine, but he wishes to help those in need. I’d love to see him use his incredible strength to support the people of Zaun. Imagine a quiet episode where Blitzcrank protects a group of orphans from chem-barons. That’s the good stuff. 🤖

Camille: Piltover’s Blade-Legged Enforcer

Camille may not be the strongest champion in League’s lore, but she is a perfect example of what happens when someone heavily augments their body with Hextech. Arcane introduced fans to the Enforcers, and based on the final shot of Season 1, they were going to spend a lot more time in the Undercity. Camille is an 80-year-old woman who has aged much slower because of her Hextech heart, and her legs are now long, sharp blades. She also uses hooks and wires to move freely. She is tasked with making sure Zaun does not become too powerful, and it has been suggested that she knows the identity of the person who killed Vi’s parents. That’s a plot thread I need resolved. ⚔️

Zac: The Toxic Spill With A Soul

Arcane showed that the people of Zaun have to deal with a lot of toxic and hazardous material, and some of that material ended up becoming sentient. Zac is the result of a toxic spill. He came to life because the ooze that would later become his body ran through a chemtech seam, then pooled inside one of Zaun’s isolated caves. He was eventually captured by a group of chemtech alchemists who worked for a chem-baron. Two of those alchemists wanted to teach Zac right from wrong and released him. Zac considered them his parents, and when they were killed, he vowed to help rebuild Zaun while also helping anyone in need. That’s a tragic origin story that would fit Arcane’s tone perfectly.

Darius: Noxus Needs A Younger Face

Piltover and the would-be nation of Zaun might have been Arcane’s main focus, but the show mentioned Noxus as well. It introduced fans to Ambessa Medarda—Mel’s mother and a Noxian warlord. Now that Noxus is involved in Piltover, it is the perfect opportunity to introduce a younger Darius. Darius is arguably the most feared leader Noxus has, and he and Singed have a history that can still be explored. Singed made Darius’ daughter rebel against Noxus, and in doing so, she killed her mother. That’s dark, messy, and exactly the kind of political drama Arcane excelled at.

Orianna: The Tragic Hextech Ballerina

Orianna possesses one of the best burst mage ultimates in the game, but new players should avoid taking her into ranked because she is also one of the hardest characters to play. Lore-wise, Orianna was human once, but her body began failing after an accident in Zaun caused her to become incurably ill. Her father was a renowned artificer, and when Orianna became ill, he decided to build her a new body. He also placed her Hextech heart inside her trademark brass orb. A pre-transformation Orianna could be one of the most heartbreaking stories in the Arcane universe. I want to see the girl before she became Piltover’s technological marvel. 🎵

Twitch: The Plague Rat Origin Story

There are a few things in Arcane that only die-hard League fans would notice, but even some dedicated fans might have missed Twitch’s origins. According to his lore, Twitch started out as a simple plague rat who mutated while moving through Zaun’s waste. He is armed with a chemtech crossbow, and he wishes to create a kingdom of filth while simultaneously plotting humanity’s destruction. When Singed was experimenting with Shimmer in the show, he gave some of it to a plague rat. That means the show may have already prepared Twitch for his debut. If that rat comes back in a future season, I’m going to lose it. 🐀

Urgot: The Noxian Betrayal That Belongs In Zaun

If Arcane were to introduce Urgot, it would be a good way to show just how close Piltover and Noxus are. Urgot was once a Noxian headsman who killed a lot of people for the empire—the same empire that eventually betrayed him and shipped him off to a prison mine beneath Zaun. A mining disaster frees Urgot, and the chaos that follows allows him to become an imposing force in Zaun’s underworld. When Urgot starts attacking members of Piltover’s merchant clans, he is arrested and placed in a special cell. When his underlings attempt to break him out, Vi and Caitlyn arrive to thwart his escape. That’s basically a ready-made action movie. 💀

Final Thoughts

In 2026, Arcane’s legacy is still massive. It changed how people see League of Legends, and it proved that these characters can carry serious emotional weight. I don’t know what Riot has planned next, but I do know that Zaun and Piltover are full of stories that deserve to be told. Warwick, Ziggs, Blitzcrank, Camille, Zac, Darius, Orianna, Twitch, and Urgot are all sitting there, waiting for their spotlight. If we ever get another animated series, I hope it remembers that the best League stories are not just about big fights—they are about broken people trying to survive. And honestly?
